Hecate Circle Rescheduled

Saturday, September 11, 2010 6:00 pm

The Hecate Circle to honor the deities of magic will be held in Morrow following the workshop Spell Singing: The Use of Voice in Ritual and magic. Many deity manifestations are patrons of magic. They appear in different mythologies around the globe. The deities that will be honored in the ritual are Hecate, the Greek Patroness of wives and Witches, and Odin, Norse father God and Giver of the Runes. As a part of the ritual a Cone of Power will be raised in honor of the God and Goddess using song and dance. The ritual will begin at 6:00 pm at the Morrow Homestead.

If you will not be able to attend the Spell Singing Workshop, but will be able to come to the ritual, be sure to sign up in the database for the ritual.

The Grove of Draconis is located in Morrow, GA, on the south side of Atlanta. It was founded in October 2009 and is an open adult group of Pagan Solitary Witches. It represents multiple traditions and degrees (including but not limited to) Eclectic, Wicca, Norse, Faery, Ceremonial and High magic. They enjoy practicing with other Pagan groups in the community and learning from each other.

The Grove says its mission is to assist those new to Paganism through education and guidance, as needed, in choosing the Tradition meant for the seeker; as well as encouraging advancement for those seeking a deeper meaning in their spiritual life, treating each one’s path with the respect and grace each deserves.

All traditions and Pagan friendly significant others and family members are welcome to join at any time. The Grove of Draconis was a sponsor of this year’s Pagan Pathways Festival 2010 and is a sponsor of The Pagan Assistance Fund
